You can wear this cowl scarf as a long cowl, a cozy neck warmer or a traditional scarf.

Unbuttoned it is a scarf, button it for a fashion cowl. If you want it wrapped close around your neck for winter warmth no need to pull it over your head, just wrap it around and then button it in place.

The cowl scarf can easily be made wider or longer.

It is not difficult - the pretty textured pattern is easy to learn.
