Description
This lace market bag is adorned with intricate and exquisite crochet cables. This bag or tote is perfect for a visit to the farmers market or grocery store, a trip to the beach or pool, or a short jaunt about town.

The lace design is generated by adding chain stitches between cables and then blocking the resulting fabric. Instructions for each of the stitches as well as the procedure for blocking the bag is included in the pattern. The bag is made in one piece (bottom up) in the round, and then sewn together to seal the bottom.

The pattern includes a written pattern, a stitch diagram, and video tutorials of select cable stitches.

Note: To make the document carrying bag with wooden handles see the instructions on the relevant Ravelry project page. The pattern download has instructions for the lace bag with crocheted handles.

Materials
2 skeins of Loops and Threads, Cozy Wool Merino Yarn, weight: Light (3), color: Magenta (410 yards per skein)

Note: We recommend against using a pure cotton yarn to make this bag. The cotton yarn will stretch out over time making the bag lose its shape. If you prefer cotton, we recommend using a yarn that is a blend of cotton with a different fiber.

Bag body: 14 inches wide by 15 inches tall
