This beret is constructed in the style of a lace doily with a center start and repeating medallions. The beret is flattering and lightweight for fashionable wear without flattening your hairdo.

Detailed instructions are included for a type of circular center start that can help you practice for actual doilies you might want to make later in lighter weight threads and smaller needles.

Finished diameter of crown is 10 - 11 inches depending on size of dinner plate used for blocking. Requires 125 yards fingering weight yarn and knitting needles sizes US 3 through 6 (3.25 - 4 mm). Includes charted and written stitch instructions, as well as detailed blocking instructions with photos.
