Inspired by the female characters created by Jane Austen, the Lady Jane cowl is the perfect accessory for any occasion. Knit with 2 skeins of Blacker Breeds Shetland DK this cowl features a simple lace pattern, knit in the round from the bottom up. With both written and charted instructions, this quick knit is suitable for confident beginners to advanced knitters.

This pattern uses the German Twisted Cast On method. If this cast on is unfamiliar to you, or you need a refresher, I offer a free tutorial on my blog. You can find more details on my website www.susayerdesigns.wordpress.com.

You can also create a matching set with the Lady Jane hat and mittens!
