The Finnish word latu means ski tracks. When following the ski tracks you’ll never know what kind of adventures you may end up.

Latu is a small triangular shawl worked with soft merino wool. One skein of fingering weight yarn is enough for this small shawl. You can also use thicker yarns. Just remember that thicker yarn means different gauge and yardage. If you want to make a bigger shawl you can also continue repeating increase/decrease sections as many times as wanted.

YARN: 1 skein of Malabrigo sock yarn (Fingering, 100% merino wool, 402m = 100g)

NEEDLES: US 6 / 4mm, 40” / 100cm long circular needle

SIZE: Wing span 150cm and 32cm deep.

GAUGE: 24 sts x 44 rows = 4” / 10cm of garter stitch after blocking.
