Cool and comfy, the Lavada Beanie is an excellent spring accessory. It’s open and lacy and is designed to work with solid or variegated yarns at a variety of weights.

The beanie includes two closure options, the version shown in the photos and a more subtle decrease for a slouchier hat. In addition, the beanie can easily be customized by adding or removing repeats to adjust circumference or by working additional rows for more slouch. You can also use a different weight at a different gauge for a bigger or smaller beanie.

When worked as stated, the beanie takes exactly 50g of Findley DK and measures 16.5” around unstretched. It should stretch significantly to fit the average adult head. Any adjustments to the pattern will impact the yardage required.
