The Leipziger hat is knitted seamless in the round from the bottom up with alternating twisted knit and purl stitches. Simple, elegant, classic hat, that could be worn slouchy as well as a cap with folding edge and is double faced.

Stitches and techniques: twisted knit, twisted purl, decreases by k2tog, k3tog and SSK.

Size: the pattern describes a Children (fitting 50-53.5 cm head circumference), Small (54-56.5 cm) and Large (57-60 cm) sizes. Stitch counts for the Small and Large size are provided in the brackets. The final length from the bottom to the top of the crown in adult sizes is 25 cm.

Yarn: Manos del Uruguay Milo, 65% merino wool & 35% linen, ca. 82 g in colour Baltico for a Small size knitted with two strands of yarn or any similar yarn to match the gauge.

Needles and tools: 3.5 mm circular needles, 3.5 mm double pointed needles for the crown, tapestry needle, 6 stitch markers.

Gauge: 20 sts and 30 rows in 10 cm.
