These socks are worked top-down with a ribbed cuff and a flap-and-gusset heel. The easily memorised eyelet pattern forms a design similar to diamonds, and since the idea came to me during a visit to Ireland, who else should these gems belong to but the leprechauns?!

Offered in four sizes – Small, Medium, Large, Extra-Large, the socks will fit foot circumference 7¼”, 8¼”, 9¼”, 10¼”/18.5cm, 21cm, 23.5cm, 26.5cm, when worked to pattern tension of 8st/1”/2.5cm over stocking stitch.

You will need:
Up to 400 yards fingering weight sock yarn
2.25mm (US 1) needles for knitting in the round, or size needed for pattern tension
1 stitch marker (to mark end of round)
3 additional stitch markers (optional)
Darning needle

You need to be able to: work in the round, work from charts (diamond lace pattern is charted ONLY), work common lace stitches (YO, SSK, K2tog, centred double decrease), graft using Kitchener stitch
