Named after a local natural beauty spot, Linhope evokes the rippling water of the burn as it recovers from the dramatic descent of the waterfall in to the natural plunge pool which draws locals to while away summer afternoons in happiness. Such was the inspiration for this scarf and now that the Autumn months are here it is giving me great pleasure to remember that happiness as Linhope delicately drapes itself around me, creating a beautiful reminder of times gone by. I enjoyed every minute of knitting this scarf and it has drawn much attention at recent wool gatherings, with its delicately pointing sides and interesting lace pattern (which looks soo difficult, but is actually quite easy to knit!). Having shared its secrets, I hope you will share the joy of knitting it - any lace weight yarn will work a dream and the result is a warm but feminine joy which will carry you through the seasons.
