Beginner friendly crochet pattern for a lovely backpack. The pattern starts with a circle that creates the bottom of the bag. The main body of the bag is then worked in rounds using single crochet stitch. The front of the bag has a lovely picture of Lipa (linden tree) that has a special place in my national history. This symbolic tree is used in many handmade designs throughout the history - tablecovers, doilies and national dresses.

The finished bag is 24cm wide and 32cm tall, the pattern includes notes on adjusting the size should you wish to do so.

The tree design has been made into a simple to follow chart. The pattern includes a link to a video tutorial to help with the colour changes and tips on carrying the yarn.

I used Scheepjes Cahlista cotton yarn but you can substitute for any aran/worsted weight yarn. I used 4 balls in main colour and 1 ball of each in white, black and darker grey.
