I made this cowl for my friend Lise, therefore the name.

This is a fairly easy cowl to make once you get the hang of it. It consists of a four row pattern repeat but you only need to remember the first and third rows. Rows two and four are knit rows. There are no purl stitches in this pattern.

The only part that’s a bit tricky is to make sure to keep track if you are on row one or three - if you leave your work for a while and come back to knit. If you mix these two rows up, your lines will not line up properly.

I would recommend that you always finish all four rows; and if you leave your work and come back, you will know that you have to start at the beginning again, at row one.

The project knits up very quickly using 6.5 mm needles, so you get instant gratification for your effort.

This pattern is also available in the Serbian language.
