Folklore is full of stories of the Little Folk - elves, fairies, sprites - sometimes helpful, sometimes mischievous, but always enchanting.

This 30 page PDF crochet pattern gives you all the information you need to make six different Little Folk (Dobby the House Elf, Brownie, Forest Fairy, Autumn Tree Sprite, Fire Imp and Grey Hobgoblin) and multiple pattern variations so that you can make a creature to your own design. The pattern also contains techniques to make 4 different kinds of hair and additional patterns for clothes such as the Brownie’s waistcoat and the Forest Fairy’s leaf-dress.

The pattern is suitable for crocheters with a little experience. The instructions are detailed and easy to follow if you know the basic stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi, and there are lots of photos to help with the more advanced techniques used.

You will need approximately 60g of double knitting weight yarn (US: light worsted) for each creature. You will need more if you make separate clothes.
Hair: approximately 15g of mohair yarn, 25g of eyelash yarn or dk yarn for short wigs or 25-50g yarn for long hair.

You will also need:
Stuffing.
1 pair of safety eyes.
Tapestry needle.
Wire pet brush (slicker) to fluff up the mohair yarn if used.

Finished size: approximately 9” tall.
