Lola the Ladybird can hide many lovely things under her wings, and the two tiny ladybirds on her back keep her company all day long - one is playing with the zipper pull, and the other is just along for the ride! Ladybirds are so fun to watch, and fun to make too! Lola is here in time for the hot summer days…

This pattern uses tables for all parts, with added diagrams and pictures to help along the way. There are also step by step photos detailing how to begin crochet, assemble the parts and finish the object. You will mostly need basic stitches - this is a simple crochet that takes about 4-5 hours to do.

The finished ladybird is approximately 3 and a half inches long (9 cm), when made with a 2.5mm and 2.75mm hooks in DK weight wool. You will need thinner wool (laceweight or a bit thicker) for the smaller details, like the spots. You will also need a 4” zipper.
