Louie is knit from head to toe in a single piece without seaming, then felted in a washing machine and stuffed with fiberfill. His face is simple embroidery with optional safety eyes. Since Louie is felted, he is more durable than your average bear. In fact, he can take so much loving, he might just get passed on from this generation to the next.

While Louie has been designed to be a largish bear, he can be made in different sizes by changing the yarn weight and gauge. Make sure to use a feltable yarn (wool works best) and the recommended gauge for that yarn.
