Love and Science is a pattern I started while going through rounds of In Vitro Fertilisation, unsure of whether I would ever have need of it. Due to stage 4 endometriosis, I require a little extra help to grow my family, and there are never any guarantees. IVF is not gentle on the body or the mind. I struggle, and the gentle art of knitting feels unreachable. Slowly, slowly, however, through pain and failures and finally a success, this little set emerged just in time for an extra special little person.

Both the Love and Science Bonnet and Cardigan are knit in one piece from top down. The pattern is steeked and worked in the round. Knit with positive ease, the circular yoke of the cardigan is shaped through a series short-rows that provide a comfortable and attractive fit for your little person.
