I attended some local craft shows towards the end of last year and this Pure Welsh Yarn was crying out to me!! It had to be a hat or two!!! So the Love Hearts hat came to be!!

There are two options in the pattern, one with blocks either side of the hearts, the other with triangles, one is for larger hearts, the other smaller….

There are just shy of 20 rounds of simple colourwork, which would make this hat a good introduction to stranded knitting.

Materials

• 100 m / 109 yds of double knit weight yarn in your main colour
• 50 m / 54 yds of double knit weight yarn in 2/3 contrast colours
• set of 3.5mm and 4mm dpns or circular needles, or size needed to
  meet gauge
• stitch markers, darning needle, tape measure
