SKEINO’s LOY SHAWL is named in memory of one of our nicest and most gracious customers. Loy was originally from Paris, France but lived in Hawaii. It is with great sadness that Loy passed away this Summer. We honor her memory with this shawl and we miss her very much.

The LOY SHAWL is knitted with two different yarns in weight and color. One skein of sock weight and two skeins of bulky weight yarns are needed to knit this shawl. The triangle shape is created by knitting this shawl from the neck down and increasing 4 stitches every other row. The shawl is knitted throughout with needle size US #10 (6 mm) for both yarns. The sequence is 4 rows sock and 2 rows bulky yarn. The basic stitch is Garter Stitch and the lacy look is being created by the sock yarn which is much thinner and by working one row in (K2tog - YO) with the sock yarn (see the free downloadable pattern below). It is an easy project and great for beginners.

Nice color combinations are available for different tastes. Select your color and start your shawl to be ready for the cooler time of the year. This shawl is very generous in size and you will enjoy wearing it and wrapping it around you.
