MacCorkle takes advantage of self-striping fingering weight yarns in a new way, laying the colors out beside each other in Intarsia stripes. Intarsia is a method of creating a pattern using multiple colors in one row. Unlike the Fair Isle or stranded technique, the different colors are not carried across the work with Intarsia.

MacCorkle can easily be knit with other weights of yarn by changing the needle size and number of stitches cast on.
