Who has not read Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland? Alice falls through a rabbit hole and finds herself in an enchanted fantasy world. In this world she meets peculiar creatures.

Alice encounters the Hatter initially at a tea party. He is popularly referred to as the “Mad Hatter”, but is never called by this name in the book—although the Cheshire Cat does warn Alice that he is mad, and the Hatter’s eccentric behaviour supports this.
