Masterwort is an elegant striped asymmetric triangular crochet shawl, worked from the tip, growing progressively until desired size is reached.

Gauge is not important for this project and the shawl can be made in any weight yarn!

It is also the perfect base for fun and artistic color-play - make every stripe in a different color, or use a gradient with a solid, or two gradients, or all those leftovers in wild combinations…

The pattern sample uses 3 skeins of fingering weight yarn (427 m per 100 g) to create a classic looking large size shawl - 2 skeins of main color (lavender) and 1 skein of contrasting color (cream) and switches colors for the final repeats for better use of the available yarn, which created a lovely border effect (and is totally optional).

Fairly easy pattern, despite using front post and spike stitches.

The pattern is fully written and charted and a photo tutorial of the spike stitch is provided.
