Matinée II… the perfect necklace length for every occasion. This scarf echoes the shape of a strand of jewels. Worked in shades or tones of semi-precious stones - who wouldn’t want another bauble or two?

Matinée II is worked tubular - no wrong sides! - and can be lapped and pinned to wear as a cowl. It is knit in two different but complimentary yarns to enhance the design. Written for a standard length, there’s plenty to wrap and tuck. Doubling the amount of yarn required will give you a fashion length to wrap several times.

Both yarns are knit to a tension that is different from the ball band in order to accentuate the design. The “pearl” sections are stocking stitch fingering weight and they are banded with heavy DK to worsted garter lace “spacers”.

When worked as written, Matinée II is almost a one skein project. The bands can be knit from leftovers you might have.
