MELLON SOCKS
Socks with cables and wrapped stitches by Sari Nordlund

Tiny cables catching the silver light of winter mornings.

The Mellon socks are knitted from cuff down. They are started with an optional tubular cast on, which makes the cast on edge beautiful and stretchy. The socks are knitted with a cable and wrapped stitch pattern. The heel flaps are knitted with a reinforced stitch pattern. The socks have lovely and round French heels and a gusset for the prefect fit. All techniques used are explained in the pattern.

The Mellon socks are named after the Tolkien Elvish word for a friend.
