Could a knit be any juicier? This big, bright and pip-filled Watermelon Cushion is knitted in chunky yarn and makes a refreshing décor change to perk up your sofa. The cushion knits up quick in acrylic chunky yarns, and makes a great weekend project.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the body of the cushion is knitted on circular needles for magic loop in the round, and the rind is knitted flat on single points.

NEEDLES
A pair of 5.5mm straight single pointed knitting needles (US 9)
A 5.5 mm circular needle 100 cm long for magic loop (US 9)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Cygnet Chunky in pink, white, light green and dark green; 100% acrylic; chunky weight yarn (bulky or 12 ply); one 100g/156m skein in each colour


NOTIONS
A darning or tapestry needle for seaming
Toy filling
Stitch markers
Black DK acrylic yarn to embroider the pips
