Melting Point Cardi is a celebration of hand-dyed yarns. There is alchemy in yarn dying that truly transforms natural fibres and plants into something new and precious. Each hand-dyed colourway carries nuances and depths of tone that surprise me with every stitch from my needle. This sweater was an exploration of Everlea Yarn Organic Merino dyed in 2 shades of indigo. The shared tone between these colourways feels like a melting point within the colourwork – a state at which they exist in equilibrium and which brings forth something far more than their separate components.

Melting Point Cardi is knit bottom-up, and in the round with a steek. Sleeves and body are joined at the underarm and raglan decreases shape the yoke. The v-neck shaping and shawl collar make for an easy and comfortable fit.
