October 30, 2008: Pattern updated to include both written and charted stitch instructions.

This understated stitch pattern is equally nice for men’s and women’s socks. Sock size can be easily modified by varying the yarn and needle size, using one of the three sizes provided. This is a companion to the Tenaya mitt pattern.

Model: Model knit in size small, which with this yarn and gauge equates to a women’s medium foot.

Construction: Socks are knit top down. Pattern written so that either DPNs or circular needles can be used.

Sizes: Small (64 sts), medium (72 sts), and large (80 sts).

Stitch instructions: charted.

Notions: Three stitch markers, and a cable needle. If you make cables without a needle, then you won’t need one--instructions for cable-needle-less cabling not included.
