Who doesn’t love a warm cozy cowl? Am I right? There is nothing better than wrapping yourself up in some cozy handknits on a blustery day. This reversible cowl will soon become a staple for your winter wardrobe. This pattern is written for worsted weight yarn, but could easily be adapted for anything from fingering to bulky weight yarn. With three sizes available there is something for everyone’s taste.

Feel free to use any weight yarn for this cowl, just remember your yardage requirements and finished sizes might be different.

The large sample was knit using Malabrigo yarn Rios in Colorway Lotus for main color and Malabrigo Worsted in Colorway Emerald for contrast color.

Small sample knit using Lorna’s Laces Sheperd Bulky in colorway Christmas in Downton for main color and Pewter in contrast color. It required 100gm (140yds) of each.

If desired, you can make this cowl in fingering weight. I would recommend making the medium or large using US 4 or 5 needle. You will need approximately 50gm (200yds) of each color for the medium and 100gm (400yds) of each color for the large. I would also recommend doing an extra repeat of the stitch pattern.

Materials:
1(1.5, 2) skein(s) worsted weight yarn in main color approximately 100(150,200) grams or 210(315,420) yards.
1(1.5, 2) skein(s) worsted weight yarn in contrast color approximately 100(150,200) grams or 210(315,420) yards.
