This scarf is thick, warm, and a great way to use variegated and hand painted yarns. The slipped stitches mix colors between rows, and the garter stitches give the scarf dimension and texture.

The pattern is written for any yarn weight between fingering and bulky. A yarn with a fair amount of twist and “springiness” is suggested (in particular wools, wool/acrylic blends).

The only stitches used are knit, slip, and inrease/decrease. No purling!

Finished scarf measures approximately 6.5”/16cm wide and 72”/183cm long.
