Mini Max is a blanket that uses up all your fingering weight mini skeins and scraps.

The blanket is worked in one strand of fingering weight merino held together with one strand of lace weight mohair. You can either use one color of mohair throughout or use up your mohair scraps.

You knit long panels of triangles, shaped with German Short Rows. The triangles repeat in a pattern of four, and the panels have slightly different repeats, allowing the blanket to come together in a beautiful diamond shaped pattern. The panels are crochet together, using one color of fingering weight merino. This color is also used to work an i-cord edging around the finished blanket.

Yardage
The blanket is knit holding one strand of fingering weight merino (appr. 400 meters/100 grams) together with one strand of lace weight mohair (appr. 800 meters/100 grams).
Two triangles make a rectangle, measuring appr. 28 x 38 cm / 11 x 15 inches after blocking. One rectangle uses 40 meters / 20 grams merino (20 meters / 10 grams pr. triangle) and 40 meters / 10 grams mohair.
If you are working with mini skeins, you’ll have small scraps of each skein. The scraps can be put together in multi-colored triangles, in order to use up absolutely everything!

Gauge
17 sts x 16 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches before blocking.
Yardage pr. triangle is depending on the gauge. If you are working with scraps, or don’t care about getting 2 triangles from each mini skein, gauge is unimportant. A tighter or looser gauge will just result in a smaller or larger blanket.
