This pattern is intended for an intermediate crochet skill level (or an advanced beginner).
Beads or shells are optional, but I do recommend it as I like the way it finishes off this project!
There is some measuring involved to ensure a perfectly custom fit. Any weight 2 FINE yarn or weight 3 LIGHT yarn is recommended. I used Truboo 100% bamboo Lion Brand Yarn. I personally think that a softer yarn would work best for this set as we want the shell squares to drape over the body & not flare out.
A soft cotton yarn would be another great option for this project.
