The Monroe Avenue hat is inspired by the main thoroughfare in my hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan. We have all four seasons in West Michigan, and the fall and winter can be especially cold and windy. Walking through downtown in the winter months typically means being bundled up and bracing yourself against the cold.

Enter the Monroe Avenue hat! The pattern uses a slipped stitch pattern most sock knitters will be familiar with. It results in a super squishy, thicker fabric that will be wonderfully warm in the coming months.

Available in three sizes: Small, Medium, and Large. The ribbing and stitch pattern allows for plenty of stretch and flexibility in sizing.
Brim width when laid flat measures between 7.5-9.5” inches, respectively.

Yarn used in the sample pictured is Lion Brand Wool Ease in a worsted weight.
