Montana Wine Bag
I made this Montana wine bag pattern for the wine lovers among us. IYKYK.
The case will carry your favorite wine with you everywhere you go, be it at a dinner with friends, picnic or even a relaxing day at the beach. You name it. This wine case would also be the perfect gift for those who enjoy a bottle or two around you.
I hope you’ll love this pattern as much as I do.
Pattern Notes
The wine case is crocheted from the bottom up, in joined rounds, and finished off with a spiral rope. This pattern is written for a standard wine bottle (750ml).
While the pattern would work with any fingering yarn of your choice, we would recommend using cotton linen yarn for a sturdier and more structured finish product.
Materials
- Yarn: Cotton linen blend yarn in 5 colors: cream, red, yellow, green and blue. One 100g skein has 150m of yarn in it. When looking for a substitute, go for any fingering yarn with similar gauge. The bag weights ≈ 105g, so ≈ 157.5m of yarn was used (Cream: ≈ 35g / 52.5m; each of the other colors: ≈ 17.5g / 25.25m).
- Crochet hook 3mm (JP 5/0)
- Stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Measurement
Diameter
≈ 8.4cm / 3.3”
Height
≈ 30cm / 11.8” (excl. top handle)
≈ 38cm / 14.9” (incl. top handle)
