Do you need a gorgeous scarf to show off this winter? This pattern combines classic Fair Isle/Argyle patterns into a modern mosaic overlay crochet scarf.

The pattern is rated intermediate level since it consists of mostly tapestry mosaic crochet. Included are instructions on mosaic overlay techniques, chart reading, and a link to my video tutorial for the tapestry method.

The pattern contains written instructions and 3 charts: the centre design, the bottom and top border. Charts are marked with Xs and the pattern has a 32 stitch repeat.

If using the same yarn and hook size, the scarf measures 140 x 23cm (55” x 9”) not including the fringe. Any yarn can be used for this pattern, however, the size may vary depending on yarn and tension.

When choosing yarn for mosaic, it is important to choose contrasting colours so the pattern can be seen.
