STITCHES & ABBREVIATIONS:
ch/chs (chain/chains), st/sts (stitch/stitches), R/Rs (row/rows), sc (single crochet), blsc (back loop single crochet), fldc (front loop double crochet). If you wish to get a more textured result, you can replace fldc with fpdc, but be sure you make a stitch a bit longer to have the same height with other sts in the row.

Size of the blanket, decorations
The pattern includes 4 different sections/designs that you can work in any order you want. Your creation can be any size. There are also several useful video tutorials to help you, especially if this is your first mosaic crochet project. The Christmas trees l decorated with the beads and l have a separate video tutorial showing how l did that. It is absolutely optional just like other decorations are: a small bow on the gift boxes and Christmas trees, pom poms in the blanket corners.
