Pattern is done in Overlay Mosaic Crochet. Any yarn can be used but size will vary depending on yarn and tension.

Who doesn’t love a nice house design? Or is it just me. The pattern includes how to complete the cushion as it appears in the pictures with mosaic pattern on the front and a plainer buttoned back with ribbing. If you have not done mosaic overlay crochet before please read the notes carefully and notes for the graphs.

It is a written pattern with charts (marked with Xs) in the Overlay Mosaic method. Pattern is written in US terminology. It’s an easy method which is described in detail in the pattern. It uses basic SC and DC stitches and is worked from the right side only. The SCs are worked in the back loop and the DCs are worked in the front loop 2 rows below.

When choosing colours, it is important to choose contrasting colours so the pattern stands out. For instance, light and dark tones.

If using the same yarn and hook size you will need approx. 4 1/4 balls of the background colour and 3 1/2 balls for the house pattern. This includes yarn for the back of the cushion. If only doing the front then it is 2 1/2 balls for the background and 1 1/4 balls for the house pattern.

A cushion insert 50cm x 30cm is needed.

BONUS FREE PATTERN comes with the cushion pattern. It is a small table runner with a similar house design. This pattern only has written instructions for the first 10 rows and a detailed chart.
