Mosaique is a cowl pattern, designed to be easy to knit up in a couple of weeks in double knitting wool. Ideal for feeling cosy on chilly days, and for feeling smart at the same time. Great to gift to friends and family!

The Mosaique cowl is knit flat and then sewn together upon completion. It drapes around the neck and over one shoulder. The pattern alternates garter stitch with simple mosaic stitch and is edged with i-cord which gives a pleasing finish.

You will need 200 metres of main colour plus 100 metres each of the two contrast colours. When making the swatch, use just the main colour as the pattern requires virtually all of the contrast colours.

I used circular needles as they accommodate more easily the work as the stitches increase to their maximum number. However, it is really up to you as to your preference.

This cowl is great for people of any age and sex, and you can really play around with colours to get fun effects. As the pattern is the star on the cowl, it is better to keep to single colour yarns which are clearly distinct in colour from one another.
