The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted.

Mrs. Grey is a classic, oversized cardigan with the drop shoulder construction and all-over texture pattern. It’s knit seamlessly from the top down. The upper back is worked first and, at the same time, shaped by German Short Rows, to create the shoulder slope. The fronts are worked next and shaped with increases. The upper back and fronts are joined into one piece at the armpit level and knit flat to the ribbed hem. The button band is worked in a double- knitting technique. The sleeves are knit in the round in all-over texture pattern, just like the body, and finished with matching ribbed cuffs.

The cardigan was designed to be worn with approximately 15-25 cm / 6-10 in of positive ease at the chest. The sample was knit in size 5 and is worn with 20 cm / 8 in of positive ease at the chest. The model is 170 cm / 5.7 ft. tall and the cardigan ends up approx. 10 cm / 4 in below the hip bone.

Yarn
The cardigan was designed for a DK weight yarn. Select yarns with good stitch definition.

I’ve used a strand of fingering-weight merino held together with a strand of lace-weight silk mohair yarn.
• 7oczek Willow 4ply (100% merino wool, 400 m / 437 yds in 100 g) in “Grey” colorway.
• Gabo Wool Mohsilko (61% mohair, 24% silk, 15% merino wool, 210 m / 230 yds in 25 g) in “Grey Dust” colorway.

You’ll need approx. ( 1155, 1280, 1450 ) { 1580, 1760 } ( 1910, 2105, 2240 ) m / ( 1265, 1400, 1585 ) { 1725, 1925 } ( 2090, 2305, 2450 ) yds of each yarn.

Note: the yardage is estimated. It was based on the yarn consumption of the sample knit and includes a 10% reserve.

Needles & Notions
4 mm / US #6 circular needles and DPNs, or other size to get the proper gauge.
3.5 mm / US #4 circular needles and DPNs, or two sizes smaller than the main needles.
3 mm / US #2.5 circular needle or four sizes smaller than the main needles.

Mrs. Grey to klasyczny, pudełkowy i oversizeowy kardigan z głębokim dekoltem w serek. Sweter wykonywany jest bezszwowo, od góry do dołu, w całości ściegiem teksturowym. Jako pierwszy wykonuje się tylny karczek, kształtując go jednocześnie za pomocą niemieckich rzędów skróconych. Następnie dzierga się przody, które kształtuje się poprzez dodawanie oczek. Tylny karczek i przody łączy się w całość na wysokości pachy i wykonuje dalej na płasko, aż do dolnego ściągacza. Plisa guzikowa swetra wykonywana jest ściegiem podwójnym. Rękawy wykonywane są również ściegiem teksturowym w okrążeniach i wykończone pasującym ściągaczem 1x1.

Rozmiary
( 1, 2, 3 ) { 4, 5 } (6, 7, 8 ) zaprojektowane na poniższe obwody w biuście: ( 75-85, 85-95, 95-105 ) { 105-115, 115-127.5 } (127.5-140, 140-150, 150-160 ) cm.

Kardigan zaprojektowano tak, by był noszony z 15-25 cm luzem w biuście. Przykładowy kardigan wykonano w rozmiarze 5 i jest noszony z 20 cm luzem w biuście. Modelka ma 170 cm wzrostu, a kardigan kończy się około 10 cm poniżej kości biodrowej.

Włóczka
Kardigan zaprojektowano na włóczkę o grubości DK. Wybierz włóczki, które zapewnią ci dobry wygląd ściegu.

Przykładowy egzemplarz powstał z włóczki merino typu „fingering” przerabianej w dwie nitki z włóczką moherowo-jedwabną typu „lace”.
