While not on a mug, this piece measures 3 1/2” in height, and 4 1/2” in width. The piece is meant to fit a standard-sized coffee mug with a handle. This pattern does not include instructions to a clasp at the handle, but add one if you wish.

Yarn Selection: Alpaca Silk by Blue Sky Fibers (DK weight), use two different skein colors of your choosing if you want stripes

You Will Need: four size 2.75 mm (U.S. 2) double-pointed needles, or small circular needles

Skills: Knitting in the round, Knitting stripes, Casting on stitches at the end of a row using the cable cast-on method

Abbreviations: K=Knit, P=Purl, K2TOG=Knit 2 Stitches Together, N1= first needle in the sequence, N2= second needle in the sequence, N3= third needle in the sequence

Casting on: Using the long-tail cast-on method, cast on 60 stitches onto 3 double-pointed needles, giving you 20 on each needle.
