Since you can’t snuggle up with our favorite shadow daddy, how about you snuggle up with your own handmade pillow!? Even though it won’t cause any lightning strikes, it is the perfect addition to any book space! When finished it will roughly measure 17” x 21”.

Materials:
G/6 or 4.25 mm crochet hook
H/8 or 5 mm crochet hook if you choose to do a c2c back
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Size 4 or worsted weight yarn. I used I Love This Yarn by Hobby Lobby in colors black and purple.
You don’t have to use two colors! This pillow can be made using a solid color, too. Variegated
will work but, depending on the colors, it might be hard to tell what it says.
1-2 bags of stuffing

Stitches you’ll need to know and their abbreviations:
Color change on the inside bobbles (if you want to change colors – there are tons of videos on
YouTube on how to color change, pick the one that works best for you!)
Chain – ch
Single crochet – sc (sc # means single crochet in the next # of stitches. Example: sc 4 means one
single crochet in each of the next four stitches.)
Back loop only – BLO – this will only be done on the beginning chain. It gives the chain a nice,
finished look (see photos)
Bobble – bob
* sc, bob * the asterisks mean repeat this until the end of the row. These rows will end with a
sc, ch 1 and turn. Chain one does not count as a stitch.
Corner to Corner (c2c) – I use the chain 5 and 2 method to make it tighter but you can use what
works best for you. If you don’t know how to c2c, there are tons of great tutorials on YouTube!
