These socks are knit from the top-down featuring a simple cable pattern that doesn’t require fiddling with a cable needle. The cable stitches are slip stitches that are easily moved around without fear of losing any stitches.

The sock pattern is unisex and comes in a few different sizes to accommodate a large number of feet. So you can knit a pair for everyone in your family.

I wanted to name the socks after a gem since the stitch pattern is called jewel cross and the cables created a nice oval that shows a hidden garter stitch middle. I thought naming the socks after a rare gem would be good idea expect some of the rare gems have very mineral names and going that didn’t work, so instead I named the socks after the country Namibia where the highest quality of the gem Jeremejevite can be found.
