This wonderfully textured, slightly slouchy and deliciously warm hat gives a nod to the Naryn region of Central Kyrgyzstan. Traversed by the ancient Silk Road, Naryn is mountainous, cold, and windy. A close look at the hat’s stitch pattern might suggest the region’s mountain peaks tilted on their side with the Silk Road (or Naryn River) running through. Regardless of what you see, our DK weight yarn shows off the interesting stitch pattern beautifully. Requiring one skein of June Cashmere DK yarn (or two if you wish to add contrasting stripes and a pompom), the one-size hat is knit in the round from the brim up and looks great on women and men alike.
