Nasty Nigel Evil Pumpkin
I love Halloween – I always have. I especially love the form & shapes of Pumpkins. Ordinarily I just knit a ball and shape with yarn. This time I decided to use my maths head & knit a lobed one. I then, of course had to give him a face, arms & claws – well it is Halloween You can turn him around if he’s too scary, the back looks pretty good too!
Knit flat because I know most of you prefer it
I used Aran yarn with 3mm needles, so, the fabric is very tight to take the shaping. Shaping is caused by left leaning & right leaning increases – and decreases to give you a lumpy shape
You need 200g of orange Aran yarn
approx. 60g of Aran in green
30g of Black Aran.
You also need 8-10 12-inch pipe cleaners & a tapestry needle for weaving in the ends
3mm double pointed needles for icord.
3mm Circular needle for pumpkin
Very long false fingernails – 6
Glue gun & glue
