5/30/22 Added Revised version of the pattern so turtle will now stand upright rather than fall forward. The original version of the turtle is still included with the revised pattern**

Included in this pattern are instructions and pictures to crochet a palm size turtle that is constructed using the NO-SEW method where pieces are attached by SC in the round. All foot pieces can be stuffed or not stuffed; I’ll leave that up to you! I did not stuff any of the foot pieces for the examples in this pattern. These creations can be completed in less than 2 hours. The only sewing involved will be to sew the head to the shell because the way the head is attached will not allow the head to remain in an upright position.

Pattern is written for use with blanket/velvet/plush type yarn, but can be made with any larger or smaller yarn choice. Hobby Lobby Baby Bee Adore-a-ball yarn was used to make the example in this pattern, which is considered a size 5 chunky yarn. There are pictures at the end of the pattern for a worsted weight turtle.

Finished Size: Plush: approximately 6.5” tall x 7” long x 5” wide
Worsted weight yarn: approximately 3 .25” tall x 4.75” long x 4” wide
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate+

Requires basic crocheting skills

Pattern is written in US terms

Pattern is worked in continuous rounds throughout

Pattern is made by yarning under rather than yarning over, but please do whatever you are most comfortable with. Note that if choosing to yarn over, the look and size of your finished project may differ from what is pictured.

Read the pattern carefully and thoroughly so important steps/information isn’t missed.
