Square Club! This is the fourth pattern in my epic Numberblocks series. After making One, Two and Three, join me as I carry on my epic quest to populate Numberland….

Four is knit slightly differently from the other numberblocks. The base is knitted flat, and then stitches are picked up along the selvedge and cast on edges, and the rest of his blocks are knit in the round. I used 4.25/4.5 mm dpns and Aran weight yarn, although gauge isn’t important so you can substitute for a lighter weight yarn if you don’t want your Numberblocks to be too big. His eyes and mouth are duplicate stitched on before we complete the decrease rounds (chart provided) and graft the top seam shut. The arms/legs are knit separately and attached at the end. Mine used up about 80g of light green yarn for the body, 20g of dark green yarn for the face, arms and legs, and small, scrap amounts of black and white yarn for the face. You’ll also need stuffing and a tapestry needle, and stitch markers are always useful to keep track of stitches (although not essential). Skills required:
