It gets cold in the wintertime where I live, and I love a cozy, squishy hat to keep me warm. Oma’s Muts (or Grandmother’s Hat in Dutch) is a simple design that results in a lovely textured hat that will keep you warm all winter long!

The hat is knit with worsted weight yarn, and for extra coziness you can hold a strand of laceweight mohair or alpaca.

This hat design has been my go-to and it’s perfect to keep in your bag or purse, in your car for whenever you need it.

The stitch design is inspired by my Oma’s Sokken pattern, and one that has been a family favourite for many generations.
