On the Rails is an enveloping wrap that is the perfect accessory to take the edge off a cool summer breeze!  The original pattern is knit with a DK linen-silk blend, however with a 24 st gauge, we can also imagine it in your favorite “wintery” fingering weight yarn!

On the Rails begins with an 8” 2x1 rib pattern, and as the wrap increases in length and width, the ribbing steps down and flows into a simple stockinette fabric.  This lovely wrap takes its name from my love of travel and the sensation I felt as I knit - that of being on a long exciting train journey towards a mysterious unknown destination
