Adorable elephants promenade around the brim of this double knit hat. There are three different charts to choose from, or you can mix and match them.

All charts have written instructions as well.

This is not a double knitting tutorial, but I have attempted to make it a beginner friendly pattern.

Hat is written for 3 sizes, Small, Medium and Large.
Small hat is approximately 13 inches around and 6 inches tall. Medium hat is approximately 18 inches around and 7.5 inches tall. Large hat is approximately 21 inches around and 8.5 inches tall.
Hats are stretchy, but choose the size closest to your head measurement because the elephants will distort if hat is stretched too much.

Yarn:
Two contrasting colors of fingering weight yarn.
Small: 28g/122y each color
Medium: 30g/132y each color
Large: 35g/153y each color

Gauge:
22 stitches/36 rows= 4 inches in the double knitting pattern
Stitch gauge is more important than row, rows can be added or subtracted above the colorwork section.
Many people find that their double knitting gauge is looser than their usual, so adjust your needle size as necessary.
