This funnel-shaped cowl is worked in stockinette stitch, in The Yarn Collective Hudson Worsted. Made up in the round, from the bottom up with shaping, this panel features the panel on the front with elaborately twisted and perfectly proportioned cables. Grab your needles, it’s time to make a perfect cowl!

Finished Measurements
30”/75 cm bottom circumference.
24½”/61.5 cm bottom circumference.
13”/32.5 cm height.
Measurements are taken after blocking.

Yarn
The Yarn Collective Hudson Worsted (85% Wool, 15% Yak, 196 yds/180 m in 3.53 oz/100 gr); Ochre – 2 skeins.

Needles
US 7/4.5 mm circular needles 24”/60 cm long, or size to obtain gauge.
US 6/4 mm circular needles 24”/60 cm long, or size to obtain gauge. (Optional: one more needle in same size and length)
While gauge is not critical for this project, different gauge can affect the size and overall yardage.

Stitch markers, tapestry needle, cable needle, waste yarn.

Gauge
20 stitches and 28 rounds = 4”/10 cm on size US 7/4.5mm needles in Stockinette stitch, after blocking.
34 stitches of Cable pattern = 6”/15 cm, after blocking

Notes
This cowl is worked in the round from the bottom end to the top with short-row bottom front shaping.
When worked in rows, the odd-numbered chart rows are read from right to left; the even-numbered chart rows are read from left to right.
When worked in the round, all chart rows are read from right to left.
