PATTERN UPDATED on 8/20/23 for better readability. No major changes made to the pattern itself!

If you purchase this item, the PATTERN will be immediately available for you to download as a PDF file, which can be opened with Adobe Reader. The awesome PDF file explains how to make two different sizes (large and small) of this fantastically cute bat friend. It includes the written pattern as well as some photographs to aid in assembly. This pattern is easily customizable with different colors and it is a MODERATE DIFFICULTY pattern made of many parts. Some sewing skills are required in addition to crochet.

TOOLS AND MATERIALS
• Size F crochet hook
• One (1) stitch marker – optional but recommended to mark your rounds
• Yarn needle
• Pins to hold pieces in place while attaching – I used bobby pins!
• Worsted weight yarn in four (4) desired colors – two (2) contrasting bat colors, a “thread” color, and an optional 4th color for the inside of the ears
• Two (2) button eyes, 20mm or whatever size you prefer for whichever bat
• Polyfil or other stuffing material

Gauge: approx. 4 sts/inch and 4 sc rows/inch, but gauge isn’t that important

The finished Large Bat Buddy measures about 10” tall including ears and 14” from wing to wing. Small Bat Buddy is about 7” tall and 9” across.
