Last Tuesday night, my DH came home with a large bag of food goodies sent to us by his co teacher. Peg grows a huge garden and is very generous all summer and fall but this is February and it was over the top in generosity. Enough food for at least 5 meals. Since my DH has been doing all the cooking and shopping while I recover from Hip Replacement surgery, this was very welcomed. However I did feel she deserved something more than a thank you in return. I remembered she was asking about fingerless mitts last fall and DH knew her fav colors, so this fun design was born.

Needles needed: Two of each 24” US 5 for the corrugated ribbing and 24” US 4 for the hand section.

Fingering yarn is held doubled throughout. For the cuff I also used some leftover yarn that coordinated with the colorway but that isn’t needed. You can do this nicely with the multi and the tonal.

Corrugated ribbing for the cuff and a nice dense warm slip stitch pattern for the hands.
