A beautiful way to use up partial balls of yarn..

A bit of this (the center) a bit of that (the petals) some more of an other (the under brim).

This pattern suggest an eyelet cast on (there is a link to a tutorial, but no specific directions in pattern) and it suggests a tubular bind off (again there is a link to a tutorial, but no specific directions). Alternate cast ons and bind offs are possible.

The pattern is designed for worsted weight wools--I’ve used several (Lion Brand wool, Patons wool, Lamb’s Pride) ANY worsted that knits up to the right gauge, will work.
